Study of Predictor Role

Study of Predictor Role

This study was conducted to examine predictor role of job satisfaction with happiness in school teachers of exceptional .

. Methodology of this study was descriptive with predictive correlational type.

Statistical population of this research consisted of all school teachers of exceptional

and normal children in Region 2 of Zahedan Province (1524 members) and sample size was equal to 221 members. Sampling method was hierarchical;

Oxford Happiness Questionnaire (Argael, Heels, Martin, Krasland, 1989) and Job Satisfaction Scale (Smith, Kendall, Hulin, 1969)were employed as research instruments. Statistical indices including frequency distribution table, mean, and standard deviation were used for data analysis and Pearson Correlation Coefficient, linear regression, two-way variance and independent t test were used to test research hypotheses using SPSS software.

Findings obtained from this study indicated that job satisfaction variable is predictor of happiness.

Results of independent t test and two-way variance analysis showed that there is not a significant difference between means score

of happiness and job satisfaction of school teachers

of exceptional and normal children

while there was a significant difference between mean score of interest in job with happiness and job satisfaction of teachers working in these

schoole.

Discussion and Conclusion

Hypothesis 1: job satisfaction can predict the happiness of school teachers of exceptional children.

William and Hers have mentioned that there is a causal relationship between job satisfaction and happiness and happiness is bedrock of job satisfaction.

Asgari and Koldi believe that job satisfaction is one the most considerable factors in job success.

Job satisfaction is a factor that increases efficiency and personal satisfaction.

Researchers have defined job satisfaction based on different approaches and believe that if the job provides an optimal joy for the person, the person will be satisfied with his/her job.

Accordingly, a certain combination of various factors, either inner factors such as sense of happiness or external factor such as wages, advantages, and relations in working environment, would lead to job satisfaction (quoted from Khosravi, 2009).

The person feels satisfied with his/

her job in different ways through emphasis on different factors such as income level, social value of job, condition of working environment and outcome of job in different times (BehroozOskoee, 2002).

If the wages and advantages are reasonably paid based on the type of job and skill level of person as well as the salary that is paying in community, it will fairly lead to job satisfaction
